This painting by Austrian painting Gustav Klimt is considered a fine example of the Art Nouveau style. In the artwork, a couple embrace and kiss. However only parts of their bodies are shown, and the rest is hidden behind a sheet of gold and geometric shapes. This type of artwork is characteristic of the Art Nouveau style because of its stylistic accents. The Art Nouveau movement often decorated objects in a very abstract and stylized way. This type of characteristic is easily seen in the work by the way the couple disolves into geometric and stylistic shapes.
